ICAEWjobs.com is changing: Here's what you need to know

At the end of January ICAEWjobs is undergoing a makeover and re-launching with a brand new website packed with new features.

What's changing?

We're simplifying the way we categorise vacancies to make it easier to browse jobs and find the roles matching your criteria.  Our revamped mobile site will have the same functionality as the main ICAEWjobs site and we're adding more ways to showcase your skills and experience so recruiters can find you on database.  You'll also notice a cleaner look and feel.

The main web address will remain the same and all the current jobs on the old site will automatically be transferred to the new one. There should be minimal downtime.

What will the changes mean for my ICAEWjobs account?

Recent Users - If you have an ICAEWjobs account and have logged in during the past 18 months, your profile and stored CV (if you have one) will automatically be transferred to the new site. Your CV will be moved to our new CV database unless you asked for it be made private, in which case this preference will remain.

You won't need to do anything to keep your account and you'll be able to log in using the same log-in and password as you use on the old site.

Lapsed users - If you last logged in to ICAEWjobs more than 18 months ago, your details will not be transferred to the new website. Your CV will be deleted and you will not be able to log-in to new site using your old password.

If you would like to keep your ICAEW account and remain on the CV database, all you need to do to is log-in to the exisiting site before 23 January 2012.  By logging-in, you'll automatically let us know that you're still interested in keeping your account and hearing from us. If you don't log in before this date your account and stored CV will be deleted.  The information will not be retrievable.

I have a jobs-by-email alert set up on my account – will I still receive it?

If you have a jobs by email alert set up, we'll transfer the details of your search so that you'll still keep receiving alert emails.

However, based on feedback we're changing the way we categorise vacancies so you may find that you need to log in and tweak your search slightly to fit the new classifications.

Will I lose any information from my ICAEWjobs account?

You will lose the history of the applications you have made on ICAEWjobs.com.  If you'd like to keep this information, we recommend that you copy the list from your account before 23 January 2012.

Will I still receive the ICAEWjobs top jobs email newsletter every fortnight?

Yes, if you are a registered ICAEWjobs user or are an ICAEW member and have signed up through your member communication preferences, you'll still receive the email every couple of weeks.

If you would like to start receiving our newsletter you can register on ICAEWjobs to receive it automatically or sign up via your ICAEW member communication preferences and select “ICAEWjobs top jobs” from the newsletter section.

The top jobs email will be taking a break at the end of January whilst we make the changes to the site but will be back on February.

What's happening to ICAEWjobsinterim.com?

ICAEWjobsinterim.com will also be undergoing the same exciting changes as ICAEWjobs.com.  The web address will stay the same.

To help interim managers we've improved the search for interim jobs so you'll now be able to search jobs by day rate rather than annual salary.

Can I still advertise?

Yes, you can still advertise your vacancies on the site at any time as all live jobs on the old site will automatically be transferred to the new one.  If you'd like to speak to someone regarding advertising, contact Louisa Strachan or Tony Hopkins.
