iXBRL roadshow coming to a city near you
The Tax and IT Faculties have joined together to unravel the mysteries surrounding iXBRL and our roadshow is launched.
With effect from April 2011 it will be compulsory for companies to e-file their corporation tax returns and pay their corporation tax electronically. But what is iXBRL and will it mean a significant change to working practices for many members? Last December we ran an event at Chartered Accountants’ Hall in London designed to familiarise delegates with what the new iXBRL requirements will mean for them in practice. We also gave them the opportunity to meet some of the software providers and learn about the products which will be available to help them.
Feedback to the first event was very positive and we have been asked to repeat it in London and at venues around the country. We will explain what iXBRL is, what tagging means and how it will have to be used. There will also be a live demonstration of how accounts prepared in either word or excel could be tagged using new software being developed.
We look forward to seeing you soon in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol or Durham.
