HM Revenue & Customs has re-designed its homepage.
HMRC says: “Taking on board [customers’] feedback we've changed the layout to make it easier to find what you're looking for. Much of the content remains the same.”
On first glance, although the homepage looks different, the information and links are not so very different from the previous version. The Tax Faculty is pleased to note that the link to the ‘Tax agents & advisers’ section is now much more prominent, and that there are now clear quick-links to ‘Complaints & appeals’ and ‘Your charter’. On the other hand, the link to consultations has disappeared, and although a list of current consultations can be found via the Tax agents’ pages, you really have to dig down to find it.
We have also found that with some software, the new homepage does not appear to display correctly.
