New PAYE reporting ‘impossible’

Update – 19 November

There have been some relaxations and clarifications by HMRC:

RTI: Timing of real time PAYE returns
RTI and ‘on or before’
Situations where employers will not have to report PAYE information ‘on or before’ the time they pay their employee

We still feel that the relaxations leave employers with a huge compliance burden and we are making representations along with other professional bodies to try and make RTI workable.
