Seeing posts from both Mark and Leo appear on Christmas day got me thinking about work-life balance and the impact of technology in this area. Is it a good thing to be posting to ITcounts when the rest of the family are tucking into turkey? I'm sure anyone who has a Crackberry is familiar with the temptation to "just check if anything important is happening" when they are on holiday or out with friends. But is it better for your health and home life to spend a couple of minutes every now and then to put your mind at rest or spend the night worrying about what might happen next time you step in the office? Does being connected 24x7 give you the opportunity to avoid working late in the office, or just add to the hours you put in?
How do you get the balance right, and how does the technology you use help or hinder this? New years resolutions anyone?
