Cloud computing for accountants – morning seminar 24 September

Booking is now open for the ‘Cloud computing for accountants’ seminar, aimed at accountants in practice and business who wish to understand more about the benefits and risks associated with cloud computing and how they might introduce it into their businesses.

Taking place at Chartered Accountants Hall on 24 September, the seminar will include advice and guidance from a series of expert speakers, initially defining cloud computing, and then covering legal implications, how to choose a supplier and an overview of security, risk and return.

You will have the opportunity to put your questions to a panel of users that have already implemented cloud solutions in their own or their clients' businesses. There will also be a number of leading vendors on hand that can outline how their systems operate and how they might work in your organisation.

There will be breakout sessions for members in practice and in business, with speakers and users that will outline the unique aspects of each sector.

As a result of attending this seminar you should:

  • Understand what is meant by cloud computing
  • Appreciate how the benefits and issues relate to your organisation
  • Evaluate if this type of solution is applicable to your business
  • Assess what effect this could have on your bottom line (and that of your clients)
  • Take away an action plan of where to start

The faculty issued a business guide to cloud computing at the start of the year and this will be available to all delegates.
