Welcome to ion

• What is ion?
  ion (ICAEW Online Network) is a new online community available free of charge to ICAEW members. The primary purpose of ion is to allow members and the institute to connect, collaborate and communicate with each other.
  
  
• How do I join?
  We hope you'll then want to join this site, create a profile for yourself and start contributing to ion with comments and posts. You can also connect with likeminded professionals to share ideas and build your personal network.
  
  
• What do I do now?
  The first thing you might want to do after you've registered and logged in is create a profile.
  
  
• Add a post
  Once you have logged in, the create post option will appear in the red horizontal navigation bar. Click on create post to take you in to the post editor where you can add content.
  
  
• Add a comment
  Once you are logged in you can add a comment to a post. To add a comment click on the 'add comment' link on the bottom right hand corner of the box containing the post.
  
  
• Contributor guidelines
  Guidance on writing effective posts.
  
  
• Feedback and bugs
  Make suggestions and report bugs to help improve the site.
  
  
• Set up email alerts for new posts or comments
  The next thing you might want to do is set up alerts so you can follow what's going on without having to login.
  
  
• Upload your photo
  Why not upload a headshot photo of yourself so we'll know who you are and what you look like?
  
  
• Create your profile
  In My Profile you can submit personal and corporate information about yourself.
  
  
• Help on using RSS
  The best place to start using RSS feeds is the left hand module marked Feeds. In there you’ll see all the common generated feeds.
  
  
• Liability and conduct
  When you use ion, or post any comment, you have a responsibility both to the ICAEW as well as to other users and indeed to any person or business referred to by you or affected by any posting you make.
